Weather Statistics
Kalkan has a Mediterranean climate with long hot summers and short mild winters. No accurate weather statistics for Kalkan are available as the nearest weather station is based in Antalya and Kalkan has its own micro climate created by its proximity to the sea and mountains.
As a guide early Spring/Summer and late Summer/Autumn are the most comfortable times to visit with temperatures rising from around 25 degrees in early April, to the low 30's in late June, and falling from the low 30's in early September, to the mid 20's in late October. July and August are the hottest months with average temperatures around the high 30's and occasionally rising to over 40 degrees.
Kalkan does not suffer from high humidity except for short spells of weather either in July or August when humidity levels can reach around 60%.
In the low season months of November, December, March and April the weather is ideal for those looking for more active holidays walking and sightseeing or for the young and elderly. Temperatures are often a comfortable 15 to 19 degrees during the day time falling to around 6 to 7 degrees at night. The sea remains warm enough into November and December for swimming although pool temperatures can be chilly. These months generally offer a good chance of some winter sunshine although the weather can not be guaranteed.
