Should you need to work off all that delicious Kalkan food and excess you will be pleased to know that Kalkan has a couple of gyms. The use of the privately run gym is very flexible and well suited to holidaymakers here for a short period of time. There is no requirement for an induction course before getting started, just roll up with your trainers, a sports towel and a bottle of water.
The main gym is located next to the Denizbank. This gym has a range of cardio machines (including treadmills, cross trainers, rower, recumbent and spinning bikes) free weights and weight training machines. It is open from Monday to Friday from 8 am to 10 pm and Saturday from 8 am to 5 pm. Closed Sundays.
The second gym is located in the street above, and above the Wrought Iron shop. This gym features classes such as Zumba, Yoga, Pilates, Spinacise and RPM-style Spinning. You are advised to contact the gym for the program of classes just before your visit, as they do change at quite short notice and vary in frequency throughout the year. This gym is only open when a class is in progress. Both gyms are air-conditioned with lockers. The main gym has one changing cubicle and outside WCs. The second gym has two internal WCs with showering facilities.
Sportline Gym is now a third gym located just down from Carrefour supermarket on the road out of Kalkan towards Kaş. This gym has a number of cardio machines and free weights available and is open Monday to Friday from 09:00 – 20:30, Saturday from 12:00 – 19:00 and closed on Sundays.
